Nobuntu, the female a cappella quartet from Zimbabwe, has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro Jazz to Gospel. The ensemble’s concerts are performed with pure voices, augmented by minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as the Mbira (thumb piano) and organic, authentic dance movements.

Anna, Sheila, and Clare Friel are traditional musicians from the Doire na Mainséar, Donegal in the North West of Ireland. Being siblings, they achieve a close blend on fiddle, flute, and uilleann pipes interspersed with songs sung in unison, many from their family and local repertoire. Joined more recently by Marty Barry on guitar and Cathal Ó Curráin on bouzouki, the ladies have won many prestigious titles over the years, including Clare receiving the 2018 honor of TG4 Young Musician of the Year in Ireland. Olivia Bradley, an Atlanta favorite local Irish singer, will open for the band at 7:30 p.m. and The Friel Sisters will be on at 8:00 p.m.

For 40 years, Cherish the Ladies, one of America’s most heralded Irish music ensembles, has won the hearts of audiences worldwide with their rousing blend of traditional music, captivating vocals, and propulsive step dancing.
